Mayor’s Introduction

Mayor Reaves proudly served on the Louisville City Council for six years before being elected Mayor of the City of Louisville. During her time on council, she worked diligently to support responsible leadership, community growth, and the well-being of Louisville’s citizens.

Mayor Reaves brings extensive professional experience to her role. She was employed with Forstmann & Company for 10 years and later worked at Thermo King Corporation for 17 years until its closure. She currently serves as a Human Resource Technician at Washington County State Prison, where she continues her commitment to service and leadership.

Her vision for Louisville is rooted in unity and collaboration. Mayor Reaves believes that by working together, city officials and residents can make decisions that are in the best interest of every citizen of Louisville. Her administration is focused on cooperation, transparency, and doing what is right for the entire community.

A guiding principle in Mayor Reaves’ life is her favorite scripture, Psalm 46:10:

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Mayor Reaves remains dedicated to leading with faith, integrity, and a heart for the people of Louisville.
